Luke and Melissa Stevens Swine Facility

Project description: Luke and Melissa Stevens are proposing a swine facility to house 4,800 heads of grow-finish or wean-to-finish swine in Yellow Medicine County. The swine will be housed in one total confinement barn with an eight-foot-deep reinforced concrete pit under the slatted barn floor to store liquid manure. Three stormwater basins will be constructed, and a new water supply well will be drilled northeast of the proposed barn to provide water to the facility.?
