We’re writing to ask you to make a contribution to Eric’s campaign before Friday’s FEC fundraising deadline. But before we do, here are a few reasons why this deadline is so important.

1. Whether we like it or not, our FEC report will be used to determine our campaign’s strength. Republicans are looking for any sign of vulnerability, but an impressive report could prevent super PACs from attacking us. They’ll see us as too formidable and not worth the expense.
   
   
2. Elections analysts have all confirmed that IL-17 will be “the most competitive House race in Illinois.” Republicans also explicitly listed Eric as a top target in their 2024 effort to keep the House. If you want you to play a role in stopping them, Eric’s race is where your dollar will go the furthest.
   
   
3. We depleted nearly all our campaign funds to counter super PAC attacks and keep this seat blue in 2022. It’s likely this race will again be decided by a razor-thin margin, so we need to use this deadline to rebuild our campaign resources.
