Check out this new report from the Alliance for Peacebuilding (AfP) on the state of conflict and democracy in the United States. The report presents findings from 160+ leading peacebuilding and conflict experts to the Assessing the State of Democracy, Rule of Law, and Social Cohesion in the U.S. survey conducted by AfP.

The Horizons Project and Civic Futures co-led a research project on Narrative Engagement Across Difference that takes an ecosystem approach to deep narrative engagement. Research focused on the question: What are the practices that support groups to come together to collaborate across differences to reduce authoritarianism?

For International Women's Day, The Fuller Project released its annual interactive map highlighting women’s voices and perspectives from around the world. The map provides information about their reporting on women by both region and focus area.

David Schilling, Senior Advisor at the Interfaith Centre on Corporate Responsibility (ICCR) joined a podcast panel hosted by Social Responsibility Alliance on using data to lead the effort for robust and meaningful human rights due diligence.

Accountability Lab has a new strategy to help them scale up their efforts within the accountability field, with a focus on operationalizing the idea of a translocal network and collective decision-making. Read a blog summary of their strategy.

Congratulations to Rajneesh Bhandari, Founder and CEO of Nepal Investigative Multimedia Journalism Network (NIMJN), for winning the Themis Award 2022 in the Speak-Up category, which recognizes his role in a variety of key investigations that exposed corruption in Nepal and for training a new generation of investigative journalists.

United Way Worldwide and Survivor Alliance are collaborating to implement a fellowship program that will enhance survivor representation within the anti-trafficking sector in the U.S. This program will provide survivors of human trafficking a fellowship placement at anti-trafficking nonprofits, while equipping nonprofit partners with the tools needed to create a trauma-informed and inclusive workplace.

This Women’s History Month, HU celebrated the stories, lives, and contributions of women. We asked our staff for their recommended books, podcasts, and TV shows – created by or featuring women – to commemorate this month. Here is what they chose to share.

Kehinde Togun, Managing Director of Public Engagement, has been selected as a 2023 Equity in Philanthropy Fellow by Rockwood Leadership Institute. Kehinde joins 17 other leaders from across the nation to help catalyze a shift in philanthropy in which diversity, equity, and inclusion are at the center of all decision-making levels.

Earlier this month, Humanity United and the Institute for Security Studies (ISS) co-hosted the Africa Leaders Summit, which gathered a dynamic and inspiring group of thought leaders and experts in a discussion on the impact of global developments on the future of Africa.
