1) The Thrill of Victory
We TOLD you.

As we’ve said for weeks: This is the school choice moment in America. First came Arizona, then West Virginia, then Iowa, then Arkansas, and now Florida — which has more K-12 students than the other four states combined.

Thanks to this bill nearly all Florida families will have a choice of where to send their kids to school and will have the money to do it.

Texas and Georgia are next!

2) And for Seattle... the Agony of Stupidity
Well, that didn’t take long.

About three hours after we released yesterday’s Hotline warning that businesses would leave Washington after the state Supreme Court ruled the capital gains tax of 7% constitutional, this press release came across our desk:

In honor of the Washington State Supreme Court's wisdom and knowledge of the law, and in recognition of whatever it may do next, Fisher Investments is immediately moving its headquarters from Washington State to Texas.

The Washington state lawmakers and Supreme Court should have read Arthur Laffer’s new book aptly titled: Taxes Have Consequences.

3) “Woke” Has Gone Politically Broke
With each passing day, Americans are increasingly sick of the arrogance of progressives who sneer that anyone who disagrees with them is a racist, a xenophobe, a homophobe, or a science denier.

Just as we have predicted, “peak woke” has arrived.

Maybe this explains why The New York Times – where the term and the movement practically originated – has run a series of articles and opinion pieces (see a sample below) ironically arguing that it’s those on the right – not the left – who are “obsessed with wokeness.”

Uh-huh. We find this to be amusing since most conservatives had never even heard the term a year or two ago. But who are the ones who are rewriting Dr. Seuss and Agatha Christie; who are the ones banning mascots, tearing down statues of our Founding Fathers, shouting down speakers on college campuses, burning crosses, and shutting down the free speech rights of anyone who dares injure their snowflake sensibilities?

In short: the Times is accusing their political adversaries of exactly what they are guilty of – intolerance and adolescent narrow-mindedness. This is the very definition of projection.

4) Now TSA Declares Peanut Butter a Dangerous Liquid
When the TSA posted this tweet featuring a confiscated peanut butter container front and center, most observers thought it had to be a mistake:

[link removed]
Nope. TSA confirmed they have decreed that peanut butter is subject to their rule banning liquids over 3.4 ounces ‘because it conforms to the shape of its container’.

[link removed]
In Britain, the nonsense about liquids is about to end. Airports there will cancel their liquid restrictions by June 2024 at the latest, as they install higher-tech screening machines.

These new higher-tech machines are already in use at many airports in the United States. But a TSA spokesman says that “while we have them deployed at more checkpoints, we are years away from announcing a change to the current liquids rule.”

[link removed]

Only in government. We say privatize the TSA.
