Dear John,
As one of the original architects of the Extreme Risk Protection Order (ERPO), I was proud to watch last week as the Commonwealth of Virginia took another momentous step toward passing this life-saving legislation. As the Richmond Times Dispatch reported, “Virginia is one step closer to reducing gun deaths across our great commonwealth.”

At the Coalition to Stop Gun Violence (CSGV), we know that ERPO has been proven to prevent firearm suicide and can stop mass shootings — including school shootings. Now, with a newly Democratic-controlled Senate and House, the commonwealth could become the 18th state to pass ERPO and save lives.
We could not have achieved this enormous success without your enduring support! After working on this issue for decades in the commonwealth, we know that if we can pass this legislation in the home state of the NRA, we can pass it everywhere. Please make a contribution today to support our state work!
Thank you for your generosity.
Warm regards,
Josh Horwitz
