With all the internecine infighting and tensions which characterize our movement spaces today, now is the critical moment to experience a framework which might allow us to see beyond our personal work and biases to a broader perspective that can hold space for everyone contributing to social change work.

At the Ayni Institute, we believe that learning the different strategies (of which we have identified 5 major ones), which we call foundational theories of change, is the key to create the kind of collaborations we need in movements. Because of our failure to notice these inherent differences and recognize the importance of other strategies, our movements have not been able to win on the issues that we so desperately need.

The Movement Ecology Series focuses on recognizing and understanding our differences as the key to harnessing the power of collaboration and synthesis between the different theories of change. It is only by recognizing our relative strengths and weaknesses that we can build movements that can hold the complexity that is required to win big.

P.S. The Movement Ecology Series is part of the larger Ayni Spring Training Semester, which includes the Seasons of Leadership Series ([link removed] ) and the Rooted Leadership Series ([link removed] ) . The deadlines for the Seasons of Leadership Series are:

- April 12th for Cohort 1
- April 19th for Cohort 2
- April 26th for Cohort 3

For our Rooted Leadership Series, the deadline to apply is April 12th.

There is one more Movement Ecology cohort we are offering aside from the two mentioned above whose deadline is also April 12th.
