This weekly digest is a new method to communicate updates, initiatives and policy changes from the Aging and Adult Services Division (AASD) and Disability Services Division (DSD) in a simplified way. Summary:?Lead agencies should not use the LTSS Improvement Tool after the revised MnCHOICES application is launched because it has not been tested and validated. When this is finished, DHS will notify lead agencies the tool is ready. DHS postponed testing and validation of the improvement tool to focus resources on preparing for the launch of the revised application.

Summary:?DHS will require lead agencies to use the updated MnCHOICES Lead Agency Transfer and Communication Form, DHS-6037?after the launch of the revised MnCHOICES application. Lead agencies use the form to coordinate the transfer of a person to a different lead agency. Updates include adding contact information for managed care organizations to the MnCHOICES interagency contact point list and changes to accommodate new functions of the revised MnCHOICES application.

Summary:?Minnesota?s Vocational Rehabilitation Services team is hosting the Spring 2023 Virtual Minnesota Customized Employment Training series. The online 40-hour training program for employment support professionals covers each step of the customized employment discovery process. This includes conducting job development, completing a job analysis and coordinating employment supports.
