News from Rep. Chip Roy

Dear Mr. xxxxxx,

As I begin another busy week in Washington, I wanted to pass along my latest update on what I have been doing to fight for you, Texas’ 21st Congressional district, and our country as a whole:

Stop. Funding. Crazy.
On Monday, I joined the Glenn Beck Program to urge congress to stop fueling the Left’s woke and weaponized agenda that is crippling our country. As the Manhattan DA’s office most recently exemplified, Republicans need to stop funding crazy. We cannot let the Biden administration trample on justice and wreck American lives.

We must use the power of the purse to keep our federal government in check.

My complete remarks can be viewed here.

Fighting back against Biden’s reckless spending plans:
The Biden Administration needs to get their priorities straight. On Thursday, I pressed White House OMB Director to address Biden’s out-of-control budget. The Biden Administration is increasing funding for climate crisis, but they are cutting funding to border security; this is totally backwards.

Biden labeled the Freedom Caucus plan to shrink Washington and grow America as a “five-alarm fire,” but the American people can see straight through his false narrative. Biden’s plan is the only one that will intensify the crisis at our border and fund a government that is weaponized against the American people.

My full remarks can be viewed here.

Passport resources
Due to an increase in spring travel, please prepare for longer processing times with passport applications and renewals. Constituents have been reporting long hold times on the phones and extended wait times after driving all the way out to appointments in Dallas.

For assistance, please email my team here. Due to the high volume of cases, we ask that you call our office if you are within two weeks of your travel date.

***If you need URGENT help with a passport, please call my San Antonio district office at (210) 821-5024 between 8am – 5pm M-F.***

Please remember to check your passport expiration date and keep in mind some countries require your passport to be valid for six months after your visit. You can find information on how to apply or renew your passport here.

If you have any concerns that my office can help out with, please don’t hesitate to call or email through the “email me” portal on my website. If you feel so inclined, you can also just send an old-fashioned letter to my Washington or district offices.

If your friends, relatives, or neighbors would also like to sign up for these weekly updates, they can do so by sending my office a quick email or simply by signing up here. For more up-to-the-minute updates, you can follow my press team on Facebook and Twitter.
