We are demanding real, transformative solutions. I know this fight may seem impossible, but even in the face of corporate destruction and complacent governments, we’ve won. Our actions, investigations, lobbying and groundbreaking scientific research wouldn’t be possible without generous supporters like you.
Just this month, Greenpeace’s campaign to protect international waters was successful, and a historic global oceans treaty was agreed by governments, despite years of pushback and frustrating delays to negotiations. [3] We’re going to keep fighting for our planet, and we’ve got a plan -- but it needs all of us, including you, to join together and push for change.
The IPCC report should send alarm bells ringing, but it’s not too late to change our course. We can still meet the goal set out in the Paris Agreement and limit warming to 1.5°C. We can still achieve net zero and halve global emissions by 2030. We will demand that fossil fuel companies stop drilling and start paying for the climate damage they have caused. [4]
John, will you join our fight to protect our future? Greenpeace is demanding that politicians and corporations act on the science and stop delaying important policy changes that would help us reach those vital climate goals. Will you set up a monthly gift to contribute to our work?
