We’re so speechless, we can barely write this email.
5 years ago, 17 students and educators were gunned down in their school in Parkland, Florida.
The families of the victims and survivors stood up in unprecedented numbers to demand change so no one would ever have to feel the pain we did.
But it just happened again -- this time at an elementary school in Nashville, Tennessee.
At least 3 kids and 3 adults have been shot and killed at their school by a shooter armed with assault rifles.
When are legislators finally going to say enough is enough, stand up, and put a stop to the endless bloodshed caused by gun violence in our country?
We need to send every lawmaker in this country a resounding message: Take action to protect our students and ban assault weapons, or we will fight tooth and nail to make sure you lose your seat in power. So we’re asking 990 supporters to step up and help us fund our campaign to elect gun safety champions who have the guts to stand up to the gun lobby and end gun violence once and for all. Will you chip in $15 now? >>
We’re heartbroken.
This is the 13th school shooting of 2023.
Our country’s children deserve better.
Our country’s parents deserve better.
Our country’s educators deserve better.
Listen: We won’t back down until our lawmakers ban assault weapons once and for all to protect our communities. Will you stand with us and help us unseat every lawmaker who stands idly by while our students and educators are slaughtered? >>
Thanks for your support,
Team Ban Assault Weapons NOW!
P.S. Senator Feinstein re-introduced S25 in the Senate and Representative Cicilline re-introduced HR698 in the House -- both bills to ban assault weapons. But lawmakers on both sides of the aisle are still holding out support for these bills. We need your help to call or email lawmakers who have not yet declared their support for these bills.
