John, right now, Kentucky is trying to put discrimination into state law, including extreme anti-trans bills and a Don’t Say Gay law. But there’s one man standing in their way.

My colleague and friend Andy Beshear flipped the Kentucky Governorship blue in 2019 by just over 5,000 votes.

One year later, Trump swept the state by 26 points. Now, Andy is up for re-election this November in what is going to be one of the toughest races in the country.

John, we cannot afford to lose Andy’s voice of reason as governor of Kentucky. Andy is standing strong for raising teacher salaries and against cutting retirement pensions, even in the face of powerful special interests.

When the GOP-led legislature tried to further restrict reproductive rights in Kentucky, Andy vetoed their anti-abortion bill, and when they passed sweeping anti-LGBTQ legislation, Andy vetoed that, too.

I’ll be straight: this is going to be the toughest race of his career. As a Democratic Governor in a Trump +26 state, Andy is no stranger to a fight, but he needs our help ASAP.
