Friend, I'm thrilled that my state of Michigan is on track to become the first state in nearly six decades to repeal anti-union, so-called "Right to Work" laws.

Now, we need to keep the momentum going and tell Congress to finally pass the PRO Act so that we can protect the right to organize and collectively bargain for better pay and benefits in every state. I've taken to the Senate floor to urge Congress to pass this legislation, but I'm counting on grassroots supporters like you to have my back.

Please, friend, will you add your name to defend workers' rights? I need 5,000 Democrats to speak out for workers across the country before midnight!

This fight is personal for me, friend. My father spent more than 30 years as a public school teacher and NEA union member. And my mother, a nurse’s aide at a local nursing home, helped organize her workplace and became an SEIU union steward. Without my parents' unions fighting for good benefits and higher wages, I wouldn't have had the opportunities and education that helped me get to where I am today.

And my story is just one of millions. Unions built America – and Michiganders have long been the driving force behind the labor movement. Now, our state is again leading the way forward. Gov. Gretchen Whitmer and our new Democratic majority in the State Legislature are fighting to defend the right to organize a union and repeal these dangerous laws that harm workers.

The time is now to repeal so-called right to work laws, pass the PRO Act and make it easier for workers everywhere to organize a union. But we already know that Republicans and their anti-union megadonors are going to do everything they can to undermine us.

That's why I need 5,000 strong Democrats to add their names to my petition to defend workers' rights. But according to our records, your name is still missing, friend. Please, will you add your name now? I'm really counting on your signature before midnight.

Thank you in advance for standing with me,

Gary
