Tragedy has unfolded at a school in Tennessee, and as is the norm, the Left has used a wretched event to exploit the horror. To add fuel to a painful fire, the media decided to give air time to a gun control lobbyist who hijacked a press conference to make a host of unfounded accusations. This is a disgrace. And of course, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre weighed in by blaming – yes – Republicans on the shooting in Nashville when she commented “How many more children have to be murdered before Republicans in Congress will step up and act to pass the assault weapons ban?”
The President piled on as well, insisting Congress pass his “assault weapons ban” but only after joking about chocolate chip ice cream. Such a lighthearted remark in the midst of a rampant grief is cold and disrespectful. GOC would rather point out that it was @JoeBiden who introduced and passed the Gun Free School Zones Act, which leaves our teachers DISARMED and our classrooms DEFENSELESS for depraved mass-murderers to attack. For those in Tennessee and beyond, our prayers are not only deeply heartfelt, but sincere as well for those who have been impacted by this horror.
