Here are some updates from the last few days.

Today, the U.S. Supreme Court declined to review a Kansas Supreme Court decision on congressional redistricting. The petitioners had argued that the Kansas Supreme Court used the wrong legal standards to review Kansas’ congressional map.

On Saturday, the trial court in Kari Lake’s (R) election contest rescinded last week’s order asking for briefing, pausing further proceedings until the Arizona Supreme Court deals with requests for sanctions against Lake and her attorneys.

On Friday, the AP reported that disabled voters in Wisconsin are saying that local election officials are not following federal law during early voting for the upcoming state Supreme Court race. Last year, a federal court ruled that the state's absentee ballot guidance violated the Voting Rights Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act and more.

On Thursday, a Missouri resident sued Secretary of State John Ashcroft (R), alleging that Ashcroft illegally blocked two ballot measures that would prevent lawmakers from making it harder for voters to amend the state constitution.

On Monday, March 21, Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders (R) signed two anti-voting bills into law. Drop boxes and private grants for election administration are now banned in Arkansas.

Here’s what to expect coming up.

Tomorrow, the U.S. Supreme Court will release decisions in pending cases. The Court could announce opinions in any of the cases that have already been argued, including the major voting rights cases Merrill v. Milligan and Moore v. Harper.
