Dear John,

What. A. Month.

We’ve seen incredible progress and promising signs that we’re closer to winning better care programs in the U.S.

From President Biden delivering three speeches on the importance of providing care to eight influential celebrities joining our Creative Care Council to increase visibility for caregivers, we’re building momentum for the care agenda. But we still have a long road ahead of us that’ll require support from supporters like you.

We’re currently facing threats to Medicaid and the Affordable Care Act from House Republicans as Congress negotiates the debt ceiling, which could remove access to care for millions of people. We need to keep the pressure on to make the change we need to see.

John, can you make a gift today to help us keep the momentum going for better care programs in the U.S.? Your donation will help us access the resources and staffing we need to keep the fight for care going. [[link removed]]

Let’s take a second to recap what Caring Across has done in the last month.

* President Biden gave not one but THREE speeches on the importance of care with language taken almost directly from our campaign.
* We met with Vice President Harris to share our stories and priorities for care.
* We delivered nearly 100,000 of your #CareCantWait petition signatures to Congress in D.C.
* Nine Senators and Congressmembers joined our #CareCantWait day of action in February to speak out about the importance of care.
* Eight celebrities, including Megan Thee Stallion, Brandee Evans, Lauren Miller Rogen, Seth Rogen, Yves Mathieu East, Bradley Cooper, and Yvette Nicole Brown joined our founding Creative Care Council to help bring care into the mainstream spotlight.
* Congress introduced the Home and Community Based Services Access Act (HAA) to expand access to in-home and community care – a bill that we’ve championed from the very beginning.
* Thousands of supporters like you contacted your Congress members to ask for their support on HAA.

I’m feeling energized and excited by everything this community has done to advance care and make it clear: Care can’t wait, and neither can we.

We still have a long way to go in the fight for care, and we need as much support as we can get to turn this progress into real change. We can’t do this without you.

Your donation, no matter how much, helps us advance the fight for paid leave for all, affordable child care, and accessible home- and community-based services. Even $25 helps provide trainings to advocates about care policy issues so we can put even more momentum behind our key priorities. Please, make your donation now. [[link removed]]

Thank you for everything you do for care,
