Our campaign scored a huge victory for climate and forests

John,

We need your help.

Our Environmental Priorities Coalition scored a huge victory for climate and forests last week when the State Senate’s budget committee, led by Senator Christine Rolfes, proposed $80 Million in funding for protection of our most carbon dense, older state forests.

Now that victory is in danger. Opponents have filed the first of a flurry of amendments that would strip away every dollar of that funding.

Please, take 2 minutes to email your Senator and ask them to defend this game-changing funding! [[link removed]]

Older state forests are among the most carbon-dense in the world. If we manage to defend this funding in the next few days, we will protect invaluable older public forests and take a big step forward on climate.

If we fail, our state will release millions of tons of CO2 that will stay in the atmosphere for over 100 years.

Thank you for taking action,
