It's been a busy first three months of the 118th Congress. I was elected Vice Ranking Member of the Energy and Commerce Committee, had my 16th bill signed into law, held my 100th town hall, and I was appointed to chair a task force on the upcoming national Farm Bill!
But while I'm working hard every day to deliver results for the people of Washington's 8th District, Republicans already have their sights set on 2024. I already have a Republican opponent, and the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) once again named me a top target.
We're quickly approaching our most important deadline so far this year – our first FEC end-of-quarter fundraising deadline. After that, our fundraising numbers will be made public for the first time this cycle. We know that the Republicans targeting WA-08 will look at what we raise to judge the strength of this grassroots team.
We need to end the quarter strong to show my opponent and national Republicans that this grassroots team has what it takes to defend this seat and retake the House majority in 2024. But I can't do it without your support, john.
