What: Senate Elections Committee Hearing on the omnibus bill, which includes RCV

The omnibus bill, SF 1636, is a package of election bills that includes SF 2270, the Protect and Advance Democracy Act. The bill (SF 2270), as amended, allows local jurisdictions with odd-year elections to adopt RCV if they wish and sets up a task force to make recommendations to the legislature on implementing RCV in local jurisdictions with even-year elections and at the state level. While the bill has gone through several changes, it is still a strong bill and is a big step forward for RCV in Minnesota.

We also need you to contact the Senate Elections Committee: Thank committee members who passed the RCV bill out of committee earlier this month and included it in the omnibus bill, and urge them to vote YES on the bill! Numbers matter, and we want them to get lots of emails!
