Far-right radicals don’t care that the majority of Americans support abortion access. They don’t care that the voters REJECTED anti-abortion ballot measures over and over. They don’t care that patients are suffering in states with abortion bans.
As soon as the GOP took power in the House, they passed two radical, anti-abortion laws that Democrats BLOCKED in the Senate.
But as long as they have any power, Republicans are going to keep trying to ban abortion however they can. The Republican National Committee even directed their lawmakers “to pass the strongest pro-life legislation possible” before 2024.
Since Republicans can’t get federal legislation passed, they’re trying to work the court system to make the most common form of abortion care inaccessible — even in states where abortion rights are protected.
Congressional Republicans are backing the lawsuit seeking to overturn Food & Drug Administration approval of the abortion medication mifepristone. Republican Attorneys General are threatening pharmacies that could dispense the drug.
This is urgent.
We’re turning to you because we can’t count on anyone but US to fight for our most fundamental rights. We have to be ready to raise hell for abortion medication access at a moment’s notice — and if we fall short of our end-of-quarter goal, we won’t have the resources we need to be effective.
