provides
paid
leave
for
those
needing
to
take
time
off
for
their
own
or
a
family
member’s
serious
health
condition.

The
Fair
Employment
Practices
Act
prohibits
discrimination
against
employees
for
things
like
being
pregnant
or
missing
work
to
give
birth.
*
Connecticut
removed
onerous
regulations
or
restrictions
on
abortion
clinics
,
providing
families
easy
access
to
the
care
they
need.
Connecticut Democrats have fought for women and families for decades and WON despite vicious opposition from Republicans. We are a model for the nation.
I believe we can take the Connecticut model to Congress. But there is extreme opposition and it’s only getting louder and stronger. We can’t let up now and allow further progress to be undone.
I’m working hard in Washington to fight for you, for women, and for families. It’s on all of us to ensure these extreme attacks from the GOP are countered head-on.
