Hey John,
‼️ 69% of the nation's 13,500 public school districts are holding elections this year ‼️
We've already got some incredible candidates fighting for school board this year! Congrats to Cairnie Pokorney, who has just won his race and will be the first trans school board member in Derry, NH. And shoutout to Amelia McMillan, who is running for a seat on the Central York School Board to get books back on the shelves.
With so many school board seats up this year, this is our chance to rise to the occasion.
Our end-of-quarter goal is right around the corner and we need to raise $21,750 to recruit for all the local elections happening across the country. Can you chip in?

We'll keep saying it: School boards hold a LOT of power and their impact ripples far beyond their districts.
In Martin County, Florida, the school board has pulled dozens of books off of shelves because of community member complaints. And by "community member" we mean most of those complaints came from one source: the local Moms for Liberty chapter.
It doesn't end with book bans, and it doesn't end in Florida. Right-wing extremists aren't going to stop trying to influence our students' education to further their agendas.
But we have a solution: Recruit and elect diverse young progressives to school boards, library boards, boards of education, and every other state and local office available.
