One of the many strategies that can help keep children safe in Maine is providing them and their families with the tools and resources they need to be strong and successful.? Across state and community partners, there is a movement to help create a culture in Maine of a shared responsibility for child safety and family well-being by helping everyone learn more about their role in supporting and strengthening individuals and families. ?The time is now to embrace this mindset and with National Child Abuse Prevention Month approaching in April, we have an opportunity to reflect on and learn more about our roles in strengthening families in Maine. The Office of Child and Family Services, in partnership with the Maine Children's Trust, is kicking off Child Abuse Prevention Month with a statewide conversation about strategies that all of us can use to reduce child abuse and neglect through strengthening families.??
