KEEPING WOKE IDEOLOGIES OUT OF FLORIDA
On Monday, Governor Ron DeSantis announced a first-in-the-nation proposal that would amend Florida’s Uniform Commercial Code to explicitly prohibit the use of federal or foreign Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) as money.
Governor DeSantis’ proposal would protect Floridians from a federally controlled CBDC by:
✅ Prohibiting the use of a federally adopted CBDC as money
✅ Instituting protections against a central global currency by prohibiting any CBDC issued by a foreign entity, including China’s Yuan
✅ Calling on likeminded states to join Florida in applying similar prohibitions within their own Commercial Codes to help combat this concept nationwide
CBDC, pushed by Biden Bureaucrats, threatens personal privacy, economic freedom, community financial institutions, and more. The attempt to surveil and control the finances of Americans has no place in Florida thanks to Governor DeSantis’ fight against the woke agenda.
“The Biden administration’s efforts to inject a Centralized Bank Digital Currency is about surveillance and control. [This] announcement will protect Florida consumers and businesses from the reckless adoption of a ‘centralized digital dollar’ which will stifle innovation and promote government-sanctioned surveillance. Florida will not side with economic central planners; we will not adopt policies that threaten personal economic freedom and security.” – Governor Ron DeSantis

SEAL OF EXCELLENCE
On Thursday, Governor DeSantis put a spotlight on Florida’s continued commitment to expanding civics education in Florida schools – highlighting that the first 4,500 teachers have completed the Civics Seal of Excellence endorsement course and will receive a $3,000 bonus for doing so.
In the Governor’s first term, he prioritized civics education and in 2020, he established the Florida Civics and Debate Initiative for students to learn about history and debate with their peers. Then, this January, Governor DeSantis launched the Civics Seal of Excellence endorsement and more than 10,000 teachers registered for the course in the first week it was open.
In Florida, students receive a well-rounded education that will propel them in life rather than indoctrination from woke ideologies.
This week, First Lady Casey DeSantis announced the expansion of Hope Florida: A Pathway to Prosperity to continue fostering opportunities for businesses to make a difference in their local communities. This initiative offers private sector business entities a seat at the table to join the discussion in meeting the needs of Floridians.
First Lady DeSantis announced the first state-wide private sector partner and has pledged to offer tailored employment opportunities – offering flexible hours and managerial track programs to propel Floridians and set them on a path of prosperity.
Thanks to Governor DeSantis’ bold leadership, Florida belongs to the people and not the bureaucratic elites. The Governor’s fight to eradicate the catastrophic woke ideologies pushed by the Biden administration and their minions placed throughout the country has just begun, and it’s up to Floridians to take a stand and join him.
