"I am your retribution."

This isn't the first time Trump's rolled this one out.

At his Waco rally - and if you're wondering about the symbolic choice of Waco right around the anniversary of the Branch Davidian standoff -   you're right - he doubled and tripled down. The protests he called for were couched in terms like "the final battle" and of course him once again claiming to be the "retribution" for his insurrectionist base.

Donald Trump is a threat to our democracy and a danger to America. You've seen what he can do when he incites mobs and directs violence against public officials. We have to stop him.

Last night's rally proves that for Trump, it's just grievance after grievance. If we're honest, it was often a tired performance. You've seen it before. It's like he's sleepwalking through the hits. But the scary part -- and why we're redoubling our efforts to make sure we beat him in 2024 -- were the moments where he came alive.

The only time Trump snapped himself out of his pity party in Waco was to call for violence. 

Don't let them fool themselves. These weren't patriots. What we saw last night was anti-democratic and un-American. And every time the country sees the truth, our pro-democracy movement grows stronger.
