Voting to Protect Parents' Rights

Last Friday, the House passed H.R. 5, The Parents Bill of Rights. This bill codifies the basic tenets of parents' right to be informed and involved in decisions that impact the education and well-being of their children. Administrators and politicians across the country have for far too long ignored parents at the behest of those more focused on far-left political goals than our childrens' educations. Holding the Chinese Communist Party Accountable for the Fentanyl Crisis

Sheriffs and their deputies across the Tenth District are facing the growing challenge of combatting overdoses caused by fentanyl-laced narcotics. To help prevent these tragedies, the Financial Services Committee held a hearing on Thursday to hold the source of this deadly poison, the Chinese Community Party, accountable. Spindale awarded fire station grant

Congratulations to the Spindale Fire Department on receiving a Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response (SAFER) Grant. The grant will be used to fund initiatives aimed at recruiting new volunteers and keeping current volunteers active. I am grateful for the Tenth District's first responders and their life-saving service to our community. Thanks to the quick action of St. Stephens Fire Department and Catawba County EMS, 85 year old Andy Brinkley was rescued from Lake Hickory after he fell in while trying to check on his boat.
