I’m reaching out today to ask if you can pitch in a grassroots donation of $10 or more before Friday’s FEC fundraising deadline. But before I do, let me explain just why this deadline is so important.

At the end of every financial quarter, campaigns like ours have to submit all of our fundraising information to the Federal Elections Commission (FEC), which will then go public for anyone to see. Some of the key metrics from this report include the total amount raised, total number of grassroots donors, and our average contribution (which, right now, is about $20).

Why do those numbers matter? Because they show the people-power behind our campaign. I ran for Congress and won because of grassroots supporters like you instead of dark money from Super PACs.

The amount we raise will also determine how much we can start spending on advertising, mailers, and events as we prepare for the most competitive 2024 House election in the country.

I was just named a DCCC Frontline Member and an NRCC Top-Target this month, so we need to build our resources ASAP to defend this seat from the far-right and flip the House blue.

Right now, we’re still $4,763 away from reaching our end-of-quarter goal before our midnight deadline on March 31. Can you chip in $10 or whatever you can afford right now to support me and our campaign for NM-02?
