When I talk with folks around the district, we spend a lot of time discussing the issues that don't always make the news or get the attention they deserve.

But these upcoming elections will have a dramatic impact on pretty much every issue you can imagine -- from the future of the Environmental Protection Agency and action on climate change, to whether or not Social Security and the Affordable Care Act are there for future generations.

If you believe health care is a right and that insurers shouldn't be allowed to discriminate against Americans with pre-existing conditions, then I need you to donate.

If you trust climate scientists and believe their warnings about the catastrophic consequences of inaction, then I need you to donate.

If you believe we should defend Social Security, the Environmental Protection Agency, and funding for the Violence Against Women Act, then I need you to donate.

If Republicans take back the House, their agenda will be the opposite of everything I just outlined above. Which is why National Republican groups are targeting my seat, they've successfully recruited my first Republican challenger, and they're up with ads targeting me personally in the district.

With my FEC deadline tomorrow, I need your help to raise $21,248 before then so we can hit this goal in time. I know we've sent you a few emails over the past few days, but your help is crucial.
