John,
You can learn a lot about a person from the company they keep — and for right-wing Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice candidate Daniel Kelly, none of it is good.
Last week, Kelly appeared at an event headlined by a pastor who has called the murder of an abortion provider “justifiable homicide.”
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel also reports that at the event, the pastor “advocated for the creation of anti-abortion-focused militia and compared coronavirus pandemic-related mask mandates to the Holocaust.”1
We cannot allow someone who associates with violent extremists to become the next Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice. That's why we need to elect Judge Janet Protasiewicz, who has pledged to protect our freedoms, stop a far-right takeover, and bring integrity back into the courtroom. Can you pitch in to fuel our work in the last nine days of this election and help elect candidates who will fight for abortion rights?

This is not the first time we’ve seen radical power-hungry Republicans show up for Daniel Kelly. His campaign is being supported by anti-abortion groups, people who planned and participated in the January 6 insurrection, the NRA, the Wisconsin Fraternal Order of Police, and more.
And there’s a reason why. His own career is full of unconscionable work, including for an organization that supports banning abortion with no exceptions for rape or incest2 and with the Wisconsin Republican Party and the RNC on a plot to steal the election for Donald Trump by enlisting fake electors.3
Whoever wins the ten-year term to the Wisconsin Supreme Court — a court which issued more 4-3 decisions in their last term than any other in the last 70 years4 — could be the deciding vote on abortion access, the freedom to vote, gerrymandering, election integrity, and so much more. On April 4, just nine days away, we need to beat Daniel Kelly and elect Janet Protasiewicz to the bench.
Pitch in to help reach voters in the final days about why this election is so important, and to build the progressive infrastructure we need in order to keep on fighting for abortion rights.
