URGENT ACTION NEEDED: Protect public lands and critical wildlife habitats from FRACKING! Act now!

Picture this: sprawling plains as far as the eye can see. Majestic snowy mountains peak in the distance. It’s a clear, quiet morning on the sage-brush plains. In this critical habitat, the threatened Greater-sage grouse performs their iconic courtship displays to find a mate and seed the next generation of birds.

But suddenly -- there’s an ALARMING SCREECH! The GROUND SHAKES and the birds SCATTER IN FEAR! The noxious stench of sulfur fills the air. Greedy corporate polluters have arrived to STRIP the land of its resources -- and these sage-grouse are in the way.

These habitats should be a focus of conservation for the Department of Interior. Instead, the DOI is poised to let HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF ACRES be DESTROYED by greedy corporations who want to frack and drill for profit. The DOI is accepting comments on whether it should lease land to corporate polluters, but YOUR time to provide input is about to expire! Friend, tell the Department of Interior by 11:59pm tonight: STOP corporate polluters from GUTTING our public lands for profit!

We can’t let corporate polluters frack on our public lands, Friend. People exposed to fracking face increased risks of cardiac problems, birth defects, and other health issues. And horrible smells fracking operations produce can trigger splitting headaches and nausea.

It gets worse. Fracking threatens to contaminate water that people rely on. In fact, fracking wastewater can contain RADIOACTIVE waste!

Communities, public lands, and the threatened greater sage-grouse are all at risk if the DOI moves forward with this plan. That’s why we need your help, Friend! If just 1 of every 12 people reading this email takes action, we can send a POWERFUL message. Please take immediate action to PROTECT public lands and stand up to greedy corporations!
