Dear Fellow
American,
I am enclosing a
survey on a very urgent matter.
It will only take a
moment of your time, but the topic is vital to our nationâs future.
A movement is
growing, led by progressives—but supported by many well-meaning
Americans—to change the way we elect our president. In effect, it seeks to
do away with the Electoral College as devised by the Framers of our
Constitution.
Thatâs why Hillsdale
College is conducting a National Survey on Presidential
Selection.
By completing this
survey and returning it to me as soon as possible, you will help Hillsdale College
more clearly understand the views of mainstream Americans concerning this
issue—views we will make available to policymakers and opinion
leaders.

National Survey on Presidential Selection by using the link

Do you think that most
Americans understand how the Electoral College works and its role in preserving
free and representative government?
YES
NO
For most of our
nationâs history, the Electoral College, as devised by the Framers of our
Constitution, was not controversial. Indeed, it was considered essential to
preserving free and representative government.
But today,
more than a dozen states have joined together in an attempt to undermine this
constitutional xxxxxx of liberty.
This movement to
undermine the Constitution has grown largely because of the failure of Americaâs
schools to provide young people with a proper grounding in American
civics—too many Americans simply donât understand the importance of the
Constitution, including the Electoral College, to liberty.
Because of this,
Hillsdale College has expanded its educational mission on behalf of liberty
nationwide, directly teaching millions of Americans in all 50
states.
These efforts, which
aim to counter the Leftâs domination over most of our schools,
include:
-
Teaching
millions of citizens nationwide through free online courses, such as âConstitution
101â and âThe Great American Story: A Land of Hope;â
-
Reaching over
six million households and businesses nationwide with Imprimis,
Hillsdaleâs free digest of liberty;
-
Promoting
constitutional education through social media outlets popular with young
people;
-
Sending
millions of pocket-size copies of Americaâs founding documents to citizens and
K-12 schools across America; and
-
Restoring
excellence to K-12 education by helping establish and guiding classical K-12
schools nationwide and providing, free of charge, Hillsdaleâs American classical
K-12 curriculum (including American civics) to thousands of American educators and
homeschoolers.
Your answers to
the National Survey on Presidential Selection will help
Hillsdale form the most effective strategy to educate millions of Americans about
the importance of the Constitution to liberty—including the importance of
the Electoral College.
And this is
especially important in this critical time for Americaâs
future.
So please share your
views on this urgent topic by completing our National Survey on
Presidential Selection and returning it to me as soon as possible.
It will only take a few minutes of your time.
You can take
the survey using this secure link I've provided below:

And after you take
your survey, I hope you will also consider supporting Hillsdale College with a
tax-deductible gift.
Since 1844,
Hillsdale has been âpursuing truth and defending liberty.â Today, it does so
through its extensive educational outreach efforts while refusing to accept ONE
PENNY of government funding—not even indirectly in the form of federal or
state student grants or loans.
The support of
private citizens like you is essential to our work.
Please represent
your state and take the National Survey on Presidential Selection
today. Thank you for your time and attention—and for your
friendship and support of liberty.
