After nearly three months on the campaign trail, Michael's made it to Detroit. Later today, he'll be on stage in the historic Fox Theatre for the Democratic debate.

Over the years Michael and I have been on a lot of trails together...

There were hiking trails in Colorado, where our passion to protect public lands bloomed. I know that Michael is committed to combating climate change and ensuring we never have a climate denier in the White House again.

There was our first campaign trail with our girls, building Team Bennet and rallying behind "the accidental senator" who ran (and won!) on a progressive message, defending the Affordable Care Act, in a purple state during a year when the Tea Party was at its strongest.

And now there's the presidential trail, where Michael is making is clear we cannot leave the next generation picking up the pieces of our broken politics.

Sadly, the trail our country is on right now is leading us all to a dangerous and dysfunctional place.

It's time for Donald Trump, Mitch McConnell, and the Freedom Caucus to take a hike.

Tonight, Michael will be fighting for ambitious solutions to create opportunity for all Americans - not just the wealthy few.

But he can't do it without your help. Since he refuses money from corporate special interests, it's your constant support that keeps him - and all of Team Bennet - going.

I'm proud of Michael's pragmatic vision to create meaningful change in Washington.
