Women’s History Month provides an opportunity to reflect on and celebrate past, present, and future female leaders in the Commonwealth. On Wednesday, the First Lady and the Secretaries of Health and Human Resources and Labor hosted a roundtable discussion focused on innovation in workforce recruitment and retention in the most important of sectors, behavioral health. With women comprising roughly 80% of mental health professionals in Virginia, industry leaders from all geographies shared insights and made important connections. The Governor and First Lady also welcomed more than 100 women from a vast array of businesses and nonprofits to the Executive Mansion for an evening of thanksgiving and fellowship. Virginia’s women are absolutely essential to making the Commonwealth the best place to live, work and raise a family. We salute you! |
