Dear John, It was a busy week, but I’m back to keep you in the loop on how I am fighting for our conservative values. |
I was proud to join my colleague Congressman Andrew Clyde in introducing H.J.Res.44 this week, which aims to call out the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF) pistol brace rule from registering, and by default banning, millions of firearms with stabilizing braces. It is a blatant abuse of their authority and a first step toward a federal gun registry. Banning these braces is a direct disadvantage for disabled shooters and veterans for whom the braces were created. For the Democrats to argue anything otherwise is simply untrue. Earlier this week, the House Select Committee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government found evidence that the Biden administration misused federal law enforcement and counterterrorism resources for political purposes. Republicans recognize the important role parents have in education, and that’s why I co-sponsored and voted for the Parental Bills of Rights (H.R.5). This bill will protect a parent’s right to be involved in their child’s education and their right to share concerns about a school’s curriculum without fear of persecution. Schools and districts that don’t comply would lose federal funds. As always, please contact my office if there is anything we can help with. Thank you for your continued support! With gratitude, |
