96 Fellow Conservative,
During my first term as governor, First Lady Marty
Kemp created the Georgians for Refuge, Action, Compassion, and Education
(GRACE) Commission to fight the evil of human trafficking.
Tragically, countless victims across our state have fallen into the
hands of evil, modern-day slave traders – and it often happens right in
front of us. The GRACE Commission educates citizens on how to recognize
and report suspected human trafficking and promotes bipartisan
legislation that cracks down on these perpetrators.
First Lady Marty
Kemp has led the GRACE Commission for the past four years and I couldn’t
be prouder of the incredible work she’s doing to bring together public
servants, healthcare professionals, and faith-based organizations to
advocate for the victims of human trafficking.
Earlier this week, the
First Lady announced the appointment of four new members to the GRACE
Commission, including Lieutenant Governor Burt Jones, Georgia Bureau of
Investigation (GBI) Director Mike Register, Department of Corrections
Commissioner Tyrone Oliver, and Department of Juvenile Justice Interim
Commissioner Shawnda Reynolds-Cobb.

issue.
