Our finance team is fired up and closely tracking our fundraising as we rapidly approach our first FEC deadline of the year. I’ll explain more about why this deadline is so important, but first I want to ask:

Can we count on your support towards our campaign today? We want to share impressive numbers in our FEC report, but to do that, we'll need a lot more grassroots support in the next few days.

When the clock strikes midnight on March 31st, we close the books on our fundraising for the first quarter of the year. Then, our team will compile our fundraising report and send it off to the FEC — shortly after, that report will be made public for everyone to see.

These reports might look long and boring, but we know that Republican operatives will be scanning our numbers closely to see the status of our campaign fundraising.

A weak report will open the door to potential challengers entering the race for Tammy’s Senate seat. Already, several potential Republican candidates (like Paul Ryan) are waiting in the wings, and they’ll jump at any opportunity to enter the race if Tammy’s fundraising operation isn’t strong enough.

That’s where you come in: By Friday night, we want to raise another $15,000 from our digital fundraising program.

This is an ambitious goal, but it’s what we need to raise if we want to post a number that will ward off Republican challengers for the time being. So, will you contribute $10 or another amount today to get us one step closer to reaching our goal?
