On Thursday, March 23rd, the Minnesota House held a floor session on the Kidnapping Bill (HF 146). Along with allied groups, we brought hundreds of people to the Capitol to show their opposition to this dangerous bill, which passed the House in the early hours of Friday morning despite vigorous opposition. Grace and Moses broadcast live from the Capitol with key updates, including exclusive behind the scenes content from a rally right outside the House Chamber where opponents and supporters converged. If passed by the Senate and signed by the Governor, this dangerous bill would allow a court of the state to take custody of children if parents do not want their children to undergo gender transition or other so-called “gender-affirming” procedures. “While other states are passing legislation to protect children, the Minnesota House is voting to allow Minnesota courts to take custody of children whose parents have refused to subject them to experimental “gender-affirming” treatments. This, despite studies and data from experts and countries around the world who have sounded the alarm bells about these dangerous treatments—most recently including Norway. If passed, this bill will create confusion and increased litigation for the courts, while stripping parents of their fundamental rights, disregarding informed consent, and encouraging young children on a dangerous path to serious lifelong biological and medical consequences.”

Marriage, the Keystone and Primeval Institution of Society: The Benefits of God’s Good Gift of Marriage Appears in an Unexpected Place

Sometimes there are deeply embedded moral truths that are found in unexpected places, and that's just one of the realities of looking at the world by means of a Christian worldview. You sometimes see things and you say, "You know, that is deeply resonant with biblical truth". Or sometimes you hear something, you see something, you observe something and you say "That is absolutely contradictory to biblical truth."

I want to look at an article from an academic journal that's getting a little bit of attention and that article is in a journal which is entitled Global Epidemiology. So again, I repeat the name of the journal, an academic journal, Global Epidemiology, and so you understand this is about disease, it's about public health, it's about a global perspective on such things.

So why are we talking about this on a Friday edition of The Briefing? It is because in the kindest, most God glorifying, honest way without any intention of seeking to support a biblical worldview when it comes to marriage, this article does just that. It is an incredible common grace testimony about the glorious good that God gave his human creatures in making us male and female and giving us marriage.

Join us on Tuesday, April 4th at 11 AM in the Capitol Rotunda

for a Freedom Rally to demand the Minnesota legislature slow down and listen to the people. The decisions being made in St. Paul right now will affect the lives of generations of Minnesotans. April 4th is the final committee deadline day and the last day before the legislature takes their Easter break. The Capitol will be full of legislators, lobbyists, interest groups and the press. The Freedom Rally will make sure the voices of ordinary citizens are heard loud and clear.

Speakers at the rally will include legislative leaders, radio personalities and leaders from the conservative coalition here in Minnesota.

The Minnesota House could hold a floor vote soon on HF91 (

), the "How To" bill that is meant to accompany the PRO Act and eviscerates Minnesota's pro-life statutes, such as the Born Alive Infants Protection Act, which ensures that babies born alive during an abortion are provided with all necessary medical care. The bill has also progressed in the Minnesota Senate. Please take time to tell your Minnesota legislators to vote NO.
