John,

We aren’t going to lie to you, John. Our critical budget shortfall is getting to a seriously concerning point.

We are just under a week away from the end of the quarter, and just over a month away from the deadline to register voters in time for Pennsylvania’s 2023 primary elections.

We knew fundraising would slow down somewhat for the “off-year,” but raising less than one-sixth as much as we had at this point last year is a big problem for an organization like ours.

Your investment will:
- Support hiring and training full-time staff in our focus regions across the Commonwealth (Allegheny, Dauphin, Cumberland, Lehigh, Lancaster, Berks, Monroe, Northampton, Montgomery, Bucks, Chester, Delaware and Philadelphia counties).
- Register voters in historically disenfranchised communities including; Black, Indigenous, and other people of color, immigrant communities and the youth.
- Organize and host community engagement events in our focus regions including community conversations and town halls.
- Outreach to our registered voters to be sure they have the necessary information to make their voices heard in the May 16th Primary and November election.

We’re working to expand the electorate and mobilize voters to get out and vote in every election, twice a year, and we need year-round funding to carry it out. Will you pitch in $10 right now to help us keep up this vital work?

The New Pennsylvania Project was founded in May 2021 to expand Pennsylvania’s electorate, so it reflects the Commonwealth’s demographically changing population. In the next four years, NPP will engage and empower young residents and those living in underrepresented immigrant communities and communities of color. We register communities to vote, provide civic education about the issues that matter in their neighborhoods, and mobilize Pennsylvanians to vote in every election.
