I want to take a moment to explain something. You probably get a lot of emails every day from other candidates and groups with subject lines that beg you to read them or sound off alarm bells about the impending end of democracy. We get them, too.

Plenty of these emails use notorious scam tactics, like promising that mysterious donors will “match” your donations. That kind of stuff is garbage and has no place in a campaign that truly values its supporters.

Instead, our focus is on inspiring a grassroots coalition around Helen’s bold vision for safer neighborhoods, stronger schools, and thriving communities. Here’s the truth: our upcoming fundraising deadline on Monday is our biggest and most important one yet.

Online contributions are one of the most important ways we power Helen’s work. With out-of-touch millionaire opponents spending boatloads of money to prop up their campaigns, this upcoming deadline is extremely critical if we want to elect a proven fighter like Helen as our next Mayor. All of the naysayers will be looking at our fundraising report to see if we have the resources to stack up.
