In just one week, we’ll submit our first quarterly fundraising report to the FEC since Eric was sworn into Congress. This is a big deal because potential opponents will be combing through this public report closely to see if we’re still garnering enough grassroots support to defend this seat in 2024.

We’re aiming to raise $50,000 in online donations over the next week. That would put us in a GREAT position. We would show real strength on our FEC report, and get a head start in defending this seat.

Everything is pointing toward IL-17 being one of the most hotly-contested House races in the country in 2024. 

House Democrats named Eric a “Frontline” member, which means defending this district will be critical if we have any shot at retaking the House majority. On the other side, the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) listed us as one of their “top targets.” 

Take it from us. They’re going to do whatever they can -- including running ugly and misleading attack ads -- to try and defeat us.

The first step toward defending this seat is flexing our grassroots muscle by meeting this quarterly fundraising goal. Remember, while the GOP relies on dark money and corporate PAC cash, we’re counting on everyday folks like you to power this movement.
