Planned Parenthood of Metropolitan Washington, DC (PPMW) is excited to announce the relaunch of our Ambassador Program [[link removed]] !

After an almost four-year long pause due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Ambassador Program is back and ready to accept applications [[link removed]] . This six-month long volunteer program was created to serve as an on-ramp for residents of the DMV who are passionate about reproductive health and rights and are interested in getting more involved with PPMW.

Now more than ever, we need advocates who are ready to fight to combat the constant attacks on abortion access and reproductive rights.Through monthly volunteer opportunities, skills-building activities, and advocacy events, the Ambassador Program offers participants the opportunity to become informed change-agents for reproductive freedom.

The Ambassador Program is great for people interested in harnessing their advocacy skills, however, prior experience is not required to apply. This program can be an introduction for those looking to get into the reproductive rights space or help enhance soft skills of more seasoned reproductive rights advocates.

Our program’s success relies on bringing together a diverse group, people of all backgrounds including, but not limited to, race, gender identities and expressions, sexual orientations, ability status, and parental status are all encouraged to apply. All are welcome, whether working in reproductive rights or not!
