JOhn — In the last Congress, I voted for historic legislation that lowered the cost of prescription drugs.
As a result of the Inflation Reduction Act, the price of insulin was capped at just $35 per month for those on Medicare, and the government gained greater power to negotiate for lower prices on other drugs and crack down on companies that have price-gouged Americans for far too long. We're already seeing major drug manufacturers like Eli Lilly respond to the public pressure of the new law by dramatically reducing insulin prices for all consumers.
The legislation we fought so hard for has delivered a real and positive change for millions of people. Naturally, some House Republicans want to repeal the Inflation Reduction Act and side with Big Pharma over the American people.
Will you stand with me today and make it clear that we won't let the GOP undo the progress we've made? Sign your name to support the Inflation Reduction Act and its historic capping of drug prices.

The House Freedom Caucus — a key group of MAGA-aligned Republicans whose votes were critical in getting Kevin McCarthy the votes he needed for the Speakership — recently outlined a plan that would roll back the main provisions of the Inflation Reduction Act. If they succeed, Americans would see insulin prices go back up.
The Inflation Reduction Act is one of the many things Republicans want to put on the chopping block as they play dangerous political games with government funding and the debt ceiling. We need to show them that their position is untenable and unpopular across the board.
That's why I need as many signatures on this petition as possible. Will you sign on today and help us reach at least 5,000?
Thank you,
