As we approach the end of the first quarter of 2023, national Republicans have already turned their attention to the 2024 elections. Just last week, the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) named my district a top target to flip next year.

Republicans think they can flip my seat to grow their narrow House majority, and they've already started running false ads against me to help them do it. And with our first FEC end-of-quarter fundraising deadline of the year quickly approaching, they'll be looking at what we've raised to judge the strength of our team.

John – in a race as competitive as ours, we can't afford to show any weakness. But my team just let me know that our fundraising has taken a dip and we're behind where we need to be to reach our goal. This isn't good.
