Learn more about what my office has been up to this week Dear john, This week, I was proud to announce that the Gwinnett Department of Transportation will receive a $1,053,400 Strengthening Mobility and Revolutionizing Transportation (SMART) grant from the United States Department of Transportation! This grant will fund technology innovations along the Singleton Road corridor, an area of our community which has tragically seen several pedestrians killed by motorists. I was proud to support this funding by sending a letter of support to Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg last November, and I am thrilled for this much-needed funding that will be coming back to our district! Led by my friend Senator Jon Ossoff, this event is an opportunity for Georgia students to learn more about attending a United States military service academy. I am proud to support our young people who are interested in serving our country in this way, and I look forward to speaking at this event! David Cicilline, Junior Newtown Action Alliance, Newtown Action Alliance, March For Our Lives, and survivors and advocates for gun violence prevention for the "Generation Lockdown: Made in America" rally to renew our push to codify the assault weapons ban in America once again. I am proud to announce that I will continue Rep. Cicilline's work to get weapons of war off our streets and out of the hands of those who wish to harm our children and devastate our communities.
