Restoring Our Fundamental Rights as Parents
Dear John,
I continue to hear from many of you and families across the 8th congressional
district who are concerned with the direction many on the Left are trying to
push our country. Worse, there are some who are pushing their out-of-touch
agendas and woke indoctrination inside our classrooms and onto our students.
We need to reject this dangerous movement. As the father of six children, I
was proud to champion the “Parents Bill of Rights Act” that passed Congress
earlier today. The legislation we passed would restore our fundamental right as
parents to have a say in the education of our children by:
* Mandating curricular transparency
* Requiring that parents have a regular opportunity to provide feedback to
teachers and board members
* Ensuring public disclosure of school and district budgets
* Strengthening privacy protections for children and requiring schools to
notify parents when violent activity takes place on school grounds
Every child deserves a good education, and every parent deserves to have a say
in their child’s education. We shouldn’t want it any other way. Read more about

DFL Passes Bill that Undermines Parents, Hurts Children
At about 5 a.m. this morning – the Minnesota DFL passed a partisan bill making
Minnesota a “Trans Refuge State” that undermines parental rights and offers no
guardrails to protect our children. According to a recent poll
<[link removed]>
, two-thirds of Minnesotans oppose same sex operations for children. But DFL
legislators don’t care. The DFL believes they, not parents, know best and the
bill they just passed in the dark of the night actually allows kidnapping and
the surgical mutilation of children. It is tragic what the DFL is doing to
Minnesota and we need to fight back. Click here

Ending the War on American Energy
From the gas station to the grocery store, Minnesotans are feeling the pain of
living in a Joe Biden economy anchored in skyrocketing inflation and an
unaffordable cost of living. Biden’s war on American energy is costly on all of
us! One way we can reduce energy costs and create jobs is through our Lower
Energy Costs Act legislation that unleashes the full power of our energy and
minerals, cutting permitting delays, creating jobs, growing our economy and
dealing a blow to China and Russia. As chair of the House Natural Resource’s
Energy & Minerals committee, I am proud to help draft this legislation that
would reform the mine permitting process and help ensure America's energy and
critical mineral dominance! Clickhere
