“The Life of Rosa Parks”

This is one of the books that the Republican party has deemed “too woke”
and dangerous for public schools.

Right now, Republicans in the House and in states across the country are
bringing their culture wars into our classrooms, targeting books that
focus on race, the LGBTQ+ community and more. Florida’s Duval County has
banned 176 titles including The Life of Rosa Parks^1. According to a new
report, among the books banned in classrooms and school libraries in the
U.S, 41% specifically address LGBTQ issues.^2

[ [link removed] ]We must stop this Republican attack on LBGTQ rights and people of
color. Alexandria spoke out against these bills on the House floor but she
needs our support. If you can, please pitch in $3 to help us

Banning books is, unfortunately, just the tip of the iceberg. A bill
Republicans introduced on the House floor this week includes two
provisions that would require K-12 schools to out trans, non-binary, and
LGBTQ youth even if it would put said youth in harm's way. It’s disgusting
and it must stop.

Republicans want to talk about government overreach and freedom, but this
bill is asking the government to force the outing of LGBTQ people before
they are ready.

When we talk about progressive values, we know that ours are freedom over
fascism.

them or out them.
