Parents Bill of Rights
There has been a disturbing trend across the nation of parents being sidelined from their child’s education. We’ve even seen it in Linn-Mar schools, with the school board implementing a policy that allows children to change their gender identity at school without parental consent or notification.
As a mom of two young boys, I believe this is radical and wrong. Parents deserve to know what is going on with their children at school during these foundational and formational years of their lives, all children deserve to have the best possible educational experience. I was proud to help introduce the Parents Bill of Rights, legislation to ensure parents are the primary stakeholders in their child’s education, and am glad the bill passed the House this week!
