Today, we published an interactive database that allows users to search for clergy members accused of sexual abuse who have been included on nearly 180 reports released by Catholic dioceses and religious orders. The Catholic Church in the United States does not have its own public, centralized version of this
information, so ProPublica spent nearly a year making one.
For the first time, members of the public and those personally affected by the sexual abuse crisis in the church, can search our database.
