As usual, there is a lot going on to keep track of in the climate movement, so I’ll give you a short summary:

💰 President Biden approved a new oil drilling venture, "Willow" in Alaska, which will result in the equivalent of 66 coal fired power plants’ worth of greenhouse gas emissions over the next 30 years.

🌎 A recent climate report from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change warns the Earth will hit a critical threshold for global warming by 2030 if we don't act to phase out fossil fuels ASAP.

🌞 But there is hope - the Jane PAC team just endorsed Climate Champions in Colorado and Pennsylvania, and is working hard to identify candidates in key races up and down the ballot this year and beyond!

The bottom line is the clock is ticking and we need to take climate action before it's too late, but we cannot do it alone.

We need to move the needle in the right direction by calling out Big Oil's lies, electing climate champions up and down the ballot, and pushing for policies that tackle the problem at it's roots - fossil fuels.
