March is Women's History Month!

[ Women's ]Women's History Month

Women deserve representation and a place in power when decisions
about their lives and their bodies are on the line.

Some statements from these women in the Senate on the growing threat
of a total abortion ban:

“The Texas abortion ban is an assault on women’s health care,
including basic reproductive rights. I will continue to fight to
protect the right to reproductive health care, including legal
abortion, no matter where a woman resides.” - Senator Cantwell

“...[O]ur mission as Americans and as voters is crystal clear. We
will do whatever it takes to elect more pro-choice candidates.” -
Senator Gillibrand

"(Wisconsin's abortion ban) means if you have a need for
comprehensive reproductive care, including abortion care, a woman in
Wisconsin has to leave the state, and that can have enormous,
enormous impact." - Senator Baldwin

"This is not some sort of hypothetical debate, or ‘hysteria’ as some
of my Republican colleagues have claimed...If Republicans take
control of the Senate, we now know what they will do — they will work
to pass a national abortion ban." - Senator Hirono 

“I’ll always stand up for a woman’s right to choose and fight back
against attacks on reproductive freedoms. That’s why I’m helping...to
enshrine Roe v. Wade in federal law, protect reproductive rights, and
eliminate medically-unnecessary restrictions that make it harder for
women to access care.”
- Senator Rosen

“Most women say, ‘I would rather have this be a decision between me,
my family and my doctor. My doctor. I want this to be a decision
between me and my doctor. Not Ted Cruz...But that is exactly what the
court will be doing by handing it back to elected officials all over
the country.”
- Senator Klobuchar
