Even after Trump’s defeat in 2020, his speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference earlier this month proved that the Republican Party is still ready to bend to his will.
Trump framed the 2024 election as “us versus them,” yet another example of his determination to further divide the country.
Convicted felon and Trump strategist Steve Bannon used his time on the CPAC stage to bash Fox News for not giving Trump airtime. Then, Fox once again bent to the will of Trump and his cronies by airing the former President’s inflammatory speech.
This is just one of many examples of the GOP doing whatever Trump and his supporters bully them into doing. It seems that no Republican has the backbone to stand up to him, even as he continues his pattern of lies and fanaticism.
It will come down to Democrats to stop Trump’s Republicans, flip the House, and protect democracy. Can we count you on our team?

But that’s not all… New legal filings show that far-right hosts at Fox News — including Tucker Carlson and Sean Hannity — knew that Donald Trump’s dangerous election claims were bogus but continued to peddle them anyway.
Donald Trump’s Big Lie has been used as an excuse to suppress voting rights across the country and even helped incite a violent attack on our Capitol. But MAGA Republicans don’t care if their lies do damage to our democracy — they only care about their own power.
And it gets worse: New reporting shows that Speaker McCarthy has shared exclusive January 6 surveillance footage with Tucker Carlson! The right-wing media and MAGA Republicans are continuing to work together to push their false narrative and rile up their supporters.
The MAGA mob is powerful, and they have a concerted plan to spread falsehoods and undermine our democracy so they can implement their extreme agenda. Trump and his friends are trying to distract you from what’s really happening: These people are losing steam. They’re getting weaker, but the fight isn’t over yet.
The final nail in the coffin for the Trumpian GOP will be when Democrats come together to maintain control of the Senate and regain control of the House in 2024. This is the real fight.
